About me
I was born in Münchenstein in 1988 to a German mother and a Swiss father. My parents were socially and politically active, which also had a strong influence on me. I grew up and went to school in Reinach, where I attended secondary school and business school.
During my school years, the Yugoslav Wars, the attacks of 11 September and the US invasion of Iraq took place. These momentous events politicised me and heightened my awareness of justice and injustice. During my youth in Reinach, I was very enthusiastically involved in various political, social and cultural organisations. I was a member of the executive committee of the local party “Impuls!” and headed the Reinach Youth Commission, which campaigned for the interests of young people.
I have now lived in Basel for almost 15 years and call the Gundeli neighbourhood my home.

Political Engagement
After moving to Basel, the adoption of the mass immigration initiative in 2014 motivated me to become even more politically involved. I joined the SP Basel-Stadt in the same year.
From 2016 to 2020, I had the privilege of chairing the SP Gundeli-Bruderholz neighbourhood association and playing an active role on the party executive and in various election campaign teams.
I then took over the co-chairmanship of the SP “Economy & Finance” working group. Since then, I have been campaigning for an economic and financial policy that takes account of social change and ensures that everyone benefits from economic progress.
I am a member of the following trade unions and associations: SEV, Surprise, IG Gewerbe Gundeldingen-Bruderholz-Dreispitz, Neutraler Quartierverein Gundeldingen, BARAKUBA.

Professional Activities
I gained my first professional experience during my school days as a newspaper delivery boy and through an internship at the Basel-Landschaft Office for Migration.
After graduating from business school, I completed an internship at Migros Basel and then took up my first permanent position as a PR and marketing employee at the Basel Theatre.
In 2015, I returned to Migros Basel as the person responsible for the regional pages of Migros Magazine. Shortly afterwards, I was promoted to Deputy Head of Corporate Communications.
I have been working as a media spokesperson for SBB since 2023. In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature, reading crime novels and non-fiction books or enjoying the diverse cultural and gastronomic offerings in Basel with friends.
